How it works
Your app makes one authenticated request. SMSRay checks it, sends it and tells you exactly what happened, in the API, in the dashboard and at your webhook.

carrier-grade delivery
Your customer
code on their phone
Send an OTP, a templated alert or a reply with your API key. Add an Idempotency-Key and retries are always safe.
Key scopes, IP allowlist, daily cap, rate limits, templates and opt-outs are enforced before anything leaves, then the message goes out with carrier-grade delivery.
Status moves from queued to sent to delivered. Each change is in the API, in the dashboard and in a signed webhook to your server.

For developers
Plain JSON over HTTPS, an API key in a header and predictable responses. The developer hub has a quickstart, samples in five languages, an OpenAPI 3.1 spec, a Postman collection and PDF docs.
curl -X POST https://api.smsray.com/api/sms/v1/sms/otp/send \
-H "x-api-key: $SMSRAY_KEY" \
-H "Idempotency-Key: signup-8841" \

-d '{"to":"+9779800000000","purpose":"login"}'Then POST /sms/otp/verify with the code your user typed. SMSRay checks it against the stored hash.

}Illustrative. Every delivery is signed so you can prove it came from SMSRay.
Status changes and inbound replies arrive at your endpoint, signed with HMAC and retried when your server does not answer.
Illustrative values.
Give each service its own key with only the scopes it needs, locked to your IPs and capped per day.
Everything it does
Ask for a code and SMSRay generates it, stores only a hash and sends it. Call verify with what the user typed and get a yes or no. Your servers never touch the code.
Every message goes out from an approved template, so recipients get consistent, trustworthy text. Start from a library of 5 prebuilt templates.
Track every message from queued to delivered. HMAC-signed webhooks push each status change to you and retry when your endpoint is down.
Send an Idempotency-Key with any request and a network retry never sends or bills the same message twice.
Sensible limits on OTP requests per number and per caller keep abuse and runaway loops from costing you money.
Scope each key to what it needs, pin it to your server IPs, cap it per day and build safely in test mode.
Customers can reply. Inbound messages land in your dashboard and arrive at your webhook, ready for your app to act on.
Opt-outs are honoured automatically and a blocklist stops numbers you never want to message.
Insights on volume and delivery, alerts when something needs you, and automation rules that act on events in the dashboard.
Nepali and other Unicode text work end to end, in templates, sends and replies.
Every number is E.164. A coverage endpoint tells your app which destinations your account can reach today.
Quickstart, code samples in cURL, Node, Python, PHP and Go, an OpenAPI 3.1 spec, a Postman collection and PDF docs.
Coverage
Numbers are E.164 everywhere, so your integration does not change as new countries open. A coverage endpoint tells your app which destinations your account can reach.
