The starting point

Colour Nepal started as a premium jewellery destination, blending traditional Nepali craftsmanship with modern design, from everyday wear to culturally inspired pieces made by master artisans. As the brand grew, it wanted to become more than one shop: a place where verified vendors could sell authentic jewellery and beauty products, and where customers could buy them with confidence.

That change, from a single store to a marketplace, is what Colour Nepal asked Lacspace to build.

What we built

Lacspace designed and developed a marketplace architecture that serves both sides, vendors and shoppers:

  • A multi-vendor marketplace system supporting jewellery and beauty sellers.
  • A culturally inspired design that reflects Nepali heritage with a premium feel.
  • Secure payments and order workflows built for commerce in Nepal.
  • Vendor onboarding and management tools, so sellers can register, manage products, track orders and grow under one brand.
  • Product categories and filters for cosmetics, skincare and jewellery.
  • A mobile-first shopping experience for customers across the country.
  • An SEO-ready structure to help products and the brand be found.

Two kinds of customer

A marketplace has to work for two groups at once. For vendors, the job is to make selling simple: register, list products, see orders and handle returns without needing a developer. For shoppers, the job is trust: knowing a product is authentic, paying securely and getting it delivered quickly anywhere in Nepal, with a clear way to return it.

Many of the design decisions came from that balance. Vendor tools give sellers control over their own listings, while the storefront keeps one consistent Colour Nepal brand, so a shopper moving between vendors still feels they are in one trusted shop.

Trust also depends on what happens after checkout. Payments go through secure gateways built for commerce in Nepal, orders move through clear workflows that both the vendor and the shopper can follow, and returns have their own process, so a problem with an order has a known way to be put right.

The design

Jewellery and beauty are bought with the eyes, so the storefront had to feel premium without getting in the way of shopping. The interface draws on Nepali heritage, with a culturally inspired look, while the structure stays simple: clear categories and filters for cosmetics, skincare and jewellery, and product pages built to load well on a phone, where most customers shop. Behind the storefront, the site is structured for search engines, so products and the brand can be discovered by people searching for them rather than only through advertising.

What changed

Colour Nepal now brings jewellery, beauty, skincare, cosmetics, fragrances and wellness products into one place. It onboards multiple vendors, manages their orders in one system and reaches buyers online across Nepal, connecting artisans, beauty brands and customers under one brand.
