The starting point
A busy salon runs on a notebook, a till drawer and the owner’s memory. Who is waiting, who is in the chair, which bills are still open, how much commission each stylist earned and whether the shampoo is running out are all questions answered by hand at the end of a long day. At the same time, many salons depend on walk-ins and phone calls for new customers.
We built two products for those two problems. SaloonERP runs the salon. Saloonly helps people nearby find it and book.
SaloonERP: running the salon
SaloonERP is salon management software for salons, spas and barbershops. A salon can be working on day one: import services, staff and prices from a CSV, seat the first walk-in, take the payment and close the day.
- Live Studio: who is waiting, who is in the chair and what is still unpaid, on one board.
- Billing that balances: split a bill across cash, card, wallet, gift card and credit, with tips tracked per stylist and no gaps in invoice numbers.
- A cash drawer counted at close, with expected against counted shown straight away and an audit log nobody can quietly edit.
- Inventory with batches, expiry dates, low-stock alerts and a movement log for every unit.
- Memberships, packages and gift cards that apply their discount at checkout.
- Appointments next to walk-ins in the same diary, and staff and commission worked out from the invoice lines each stylist actually served, with attendance, roster, leave and payroll.
- Multi-branch and reports, each report labelled with the dates it covers and exportable as CSV.
For salons that also teach, the Academy add-on runs courses beside the salon on the same account: courses and batches, students and enrolments, a class register, fees, assessments and student leave. It stays off until a salon asks for it.
Set up for India and Nepal
A salon chooses its country, and the tax names, number format, week and financial year follow. In India, GST is shown on every bill line and the GSTIN is printed on invoices once set. In Nepal, VAT is shown on every bill line, the PAN is printed on invoices, and the web dashboard can show dates in Bikram Sambat, Gregorian or both.
SaloonERP Lite
Not every salon needs the full system on day one. SaloonERP Lite is the bookings-first side: the diary, walk-ins, the menu, the team and every branch, in the browser on any phone. Salons register for Lite free at lite.saloonerp.com with a seven-field form, and the account opens once our team approves it. A salon can use Lite only, or Lite + full ERP, and a Lite-only salon can ask for the full ERP from Lite’s Settings.
Saloonly: filling the chair
Saloonly is a marketplace where people find salons, spas, barbers, nail studios, makeup artists and skin clinics nearby, see real services and prices, and book a time that is really free. They book with a name and a mobile number, with no account, password or card, and pay at the salon. They can also order a salon’s products and collect them at the counter.
For salons, a Saloonly listing comes straight from what they keep in SaloonERP, so there is nothing to type twice. Bookings land in the normal diary, marked as coming from Saloonly. Listing is free, with no subscription; a commission applies only to completed bookings and collected orders that Saloonly brings, at a rate agreed with each salon. Customers pay the salon directly, and every Saloonly booking and order is listed under Earnings each month.
