Most people do not want ten apps for ten small jobs. One for news, one for the Nepali calendar, one for the dollar rate, one for FM radio, one for exam results. The free WeNepal app for Android and iPhone tries to be the one you keep: WeNepal describes it in four words: Nepal in One App.
Five tabs

- Home: stories from all twelve sections, each with a summary, key points and why it matters. Search, and pick up from your reading history.
- Pulse: the morning and evening digest. Read it or listen to it (Nepal news in two minutes: the Pulse).
- Video: a swipeable feed of short vertical news videos with captions.
- Tracker: promises made in public by governments, and where each stands (Tracking government promises in Nepal).
- Me: saved stories, alerts and settings.

Beyond the news
Live FM radio
Listen live to FM stations from across Nepal, with the player running in the background while you use other apps. The app plays each station’s own public live stream.
Exams and results
Links to the official result pages of exam bodies: SEE and Grade 12, CTEVT, Lok Sewa and other government recruitment, universities and medical entrance, and professional and driving licences. Each official site opens inside the app as it is. You can save your symbol or roll number and date of birth once, on your phone, and the app fills the form for you.
Local news
Pick your province or district and see the news from your area first.

Reactions, comments and alerts
- Reactions: like, insightful, sad or angry, without signing in. One reaction per phone per story. Counts are real totals; a reaction nobody has picked shows no number.
- Comments: need a free account and appear under a display name you choose, never your phone number or email. They pass an automatic filter, can be reported, and are closed on sensitive stories.
- Alerts: on by default once you allow them are breaking news, a few daily highlights and the Pulse. Optional: tracker updates, every new story, or any of the twelve sections. Set quiet hours when the app stays silent.
Offline, dark mode and privacy
Save any story to read later; saved stories and recent editions stay on your phone. Choose light or dark mode and adjust the text size. WeNepal says the app does not track you across other apps or websites, and an account is optional.
