Two principles shape how Lacspace approaches AI engineering. The first is privacy. Business, school and health data is sensitive, which is why we are building LacNova, an in-house AI brain designed to run on our own infrastructure and reason over company knowledge without sending it to outside services.
The second is composability. Rather than one monolithic model, we assemble AI features from small, well-understood building blocks: prompting, tokenising, chunking documents, embeddings, vector search, retrieval and evaluation. Many of these blocks are published as free, open packages in the Lacspace AI Kit and AI App Kit, which any developer can explore on the Lacspace developer portal. Building in the open keeps our own work honest and lets other teams reuse what we learn.
