Japan is one of the most common destinations for Nepali students and workers, and most routes start with a Japanese test: the JLPT for study and many jobs, or the JFT-Basic for the Specified Skilled Worker visa. Japanese is also the biggest topic on iSmartExams, with 123 practice exams, all free, as of October 2026.

What's included
- JLPT-style sets from N5 to N2: grammar, vocabulary and reading, timed like the real paper.
- JFT-Basic-style practice for the skills test used in Japan's worker programmes.
- Vocabulary with Nepali meanings, written in Devanagari, with example sentences and audio, so you are not translating through English.
- Listening tests with native-voice audio.
- Lessons to go back over a grammar point when a practice set shows a gap.
Practise like exam day
Exam mode gives you a timer, a question map and one tap per answer. Options are shuffled every attempt, so you learn the answer rather than its position. If your connection drops, you resume with the time you had left. At the end you see accuracy, rank, speed and a suggested next step.
A study plan that works
- Take one full practice set at your level to find your baseline.
- Set your real exam date in the portal so the countdown starts.
- Study the vocabulary deck for your level for 15 minutes a day.
- Do the Mistakes page whenever it has questions due; it brings wrong answers back after 1, 2, 4, 7 and 15 days.
- Take a timed set every week and compare accuracy and speed.
