LSNEP did not start from a blank page. Before offering technology to brokers, Lacspace spent years building platforms that Nepal’s investors use to follow and practise the market. Two of them shaped LSNEP most: StockYatra, Lacspace’s own trading-education app, and ShareRocketPro, a NEPSE market-data and practice platform that is Share Rocket Pro Pvt. Ltd.’s product, for which Lacspace is the technology partner and digital infrastructure provider. This is what those builds taught us.

In short

  • StockYatra is Lacspace’s own product; ShareRocketPro is Share Rocket Pro Pvt. Ltd.’s product, with Lacspace as technology partner and digital infrastructure provider.
  • Both run live market data, deep charting and apps on iOS, Android and the web.
  • Four lessons carried straight into LSNEP modules.
  • Every figure here is published on the live products, read in November 2026.
From StockYatra and ShareRocketPro to LSNEP

Two builds, at a glance

StockYatra and ShareRocketPro compared, from their live sites

StockYatra

StockYatra is a paper-trading arena for Nepal (NEPSE), India (NSE) and US stocks, with three practice boards on one account and prices that move live on its practice engine. New users start with 10,000 virtual coins and learn stop-losses, targets and position sizing without risking money. Its charts offer 10 chart types and 46 indicators, with 113 strategies and backtests in the app, plus an AI chart explainer, calculators, an IPO calendar, learning content in English, Nepali and Hindi, community features and leagues. It runs on iOS, Android and the web. A paid StockYatra Pro plan adds smart orders and deeper analytics. More in StockYatra’s three practice markets and on the StockYatra product page.

ShareRocketPro

ShareRocketPro shows every NEPSE index and prices for 336 scrips, a live heatmap, a screener, top movers and an IPO calendar, free to read. Live market data refreshes every 30 seconds during market hours. Its charting terminal has 126 indicators in 10 categories, pattern detection, backtests on recorded candles and bar replay, and its app offers Rs. 10,000 in practice money on a 24/7 practice market priced from real NEPSE data, with alerts in Nepali and English. Share Rocket Pro’s team found Lacspace through StockYatra. More in the ShareRocketPro launch story and the ShareRocketPro project page.

Four lessons that carried into LSNEP

Four lessons and the LSNEP modules they became

1. Live data has to work at full-market scale

Showing one stock is easy. Showing every scrip, refreshed in seconds, to a website and apps at the same time, through market open and close, is an engineering problem in its own right. ShareRocketPro’s data layer taught us to collect once, record candles, and serve every surface from the same source. In LSNEP, that is the foundation of charts and market insights inside a broker’s app.

2. Active traders judge a broker by the chart

Investors compare tools. The depth of indicators, drawing tools and replay in both products kept engaged users coming back. For a broker, the same depth inside its own app keeps active clients from opening a third-party site to analyse a trade. LSNEP shows data and charts; it never gives buy or sell advice.

3. One backend, every screen

Both products serve iOS, Android and the web from one platform. That is what lets a broker launch a client app and web portal together, with the same balances, alerts and history everywhere.

4. The client’s brand, not ours

ShareRocketPro carries Share Rocket Pro’s name, colours and domain. Lacspace is its technology partner and digital infrastructure provider; the product and the brand belong to the client. LSNEP works the same way for brokers: every surface carries the brokerage’s name.

Reliability lessons from market hours

Market platforms have a peculiar load pattern. Nepal’s regular session runs Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 to 15:00, with a pre-open window before it. Traffic surges at the open, around big moves and at the close, then falls away. Building for that taught us a few habits LSNEP keeps:

  • Cache at the edge, fetch once. A thousand visitors should not mean a thousand requests to a data source. Serve them from one recent copy.
  • Say when data is stale. If a feed fails, show the last good value with its time, or say it is unavailable. Never fill gaps with guesses.
  • Ship outside market hours. Releases that touch live data go out when the market is closed.
  • Label everything. Live data, simulated prices and sample screens look alike. Users should always know which they are looking at, which is why StockYatra calls its prices live-simulated and ShareRocketPro marks analysis as not advice.

Respecting the line on advice

Both products work hard to explain charts without telling anyone what to buy. ShareRocketPro’s AI chart explainer and daily market wrap are grounded in the numbers and never give buy or sell calls; StockYatra’s community bans stock tips. Brokers need the same discipline inside their apps, and LSNEP is built with it: analysis tools for clients, no recommendations.

Open-source along the way

Several building blocks written for these products, including market-clock, pattern detection, strategy rules, portfolio analytics and a bilingual market wrap, are published openly on npm by Lacspace under the Lacspace Free Licence. They are part of how LSNEP gets to production faster.

What it means for a brokerage

What we builtWhere it shows up in LSNEP
Full-market live data and recorded candlesCharts and market insights in the broker’s app and portal
Deep charting with indicators and replayAnalysis tools for active clients, without advice
iOS, Android and web from one backendClient app plus web portal, launched together
Products under a client’s own brandEvery LSNEP surface in the brokerage’s name

The short version: LSNEP is not a first attempt. It is the same team and the same engineering, applied to the firms that sit between investors and the exchange, with the brand, the client relationship and the licence staying with the firm.
