If you knew us as WeGrowNepal, nothing you rely on has gone anywhere. The library, your account, your uploads and every study group are exactly where you left them. What changed is the name on the door: WeGrowNepal is now IdeaTopic.
This is the short version of why, what the new name means, and the handful of things worth knowing if you use the app or have shared old links.
What changed, and what did not
Only the name, the logo and the web address changed. Everything a student actually uses carried over untouched:
- Your account — same email or phone number, same password.
- Every note — all 82 of them, still credited to the student who uploaded it.
- The library structure — 2,214 subjects, from Class 5 to university programmes, Lok Sewa and professional courses.
- Study groups — all 635 of them, with their members and posts.
- Free to read — still no account needed just to open a note.
The app is still listed as “WeGrowNepal: Study & Community” on the stores until the new IdeaTopic app ships — same library, same login.
Why rename at all
WeGrowNepal started as a place to share notes, and the name did that job well. But the library grew into something the name no longer described. Students were not only uploading notes; they were posting explanations, asking questions in study groups and answering each other at eleven at night. And everything was being organised the same way — by topic.
The new name describes what the library does rather than where it began. It also travels better: a student searching for BSc CSIT notes, SEE model questions or a study group for their batch should recognise what the product is from the name alone.

What IdeaTopic means
The name is two words doing two jobs.
- Idea is what students bring: notes written after the lecture, a summary that finally made a chapter click, a question somebody else was too shy to ask.
- Topic is how all of it is found: every note sits under the class, course, exam or skill it belongs to, so the right one is two taps away instead of buried in a feed.
Put together, the promise is: notes, ideas and voices, by topic.
The logo carries the same idea. It is a lowercase i whose dot is a light bulb, on an indigo-to-violet tile — the idea, sitting on the topic it belongs to.
The app and the store listing
The app you can install today is still listed as “WeGrowNepal: Study & Community” on the App Store and Google Play. That is expected: new IdeaTopic apps are being built, and the listing name changes when they ship.

Old links and bookmarks
Every old address keeps working. wegrownepal.com forwards permanently to www.ideatopic.com, and links to individual notes, groups and profiles land on the same page under the new address. If you shared a note in a class group chat last year, that link still works.
Articles about the product on lacspace.com moved to new addresses too, with the old ones forwarding automatically.
What comes next
The honest priority is the library itself. IdeaTopic is still young — some subjects have a handful of notes and some have none — and a bigger library helps more than any name ever will.
Being straight with you: IdeaTopic is young — 82 notes across 2,214 subjects today, shared by 100 members. A new name does not add a single note by itself. If the shelf you need is thin, that is exactly the gap one upload closes for the next batch.
If you have notes from a course you have already finished, upload them against the right topic. Your name stays on every note for as long as it is read. Our piece on why this library exists explains why that one upload matters more than it sounds.
Frequently asked questions
Is IdeaTopic the same as WeGrowNepal?
Yes. WeGrowNepal was renamed IdeaTopic in 2026. It is the same free library of student notes, the same study groups and the same team at Lacspace. Nothing was deleted or moved in the process.
Do I need a new account for IdeaTopic?
No. Your existing account works exactly as before. Sign in with the same email or phone number and password, and your uploads, saved notes, groups and leaderboard position are all where you left them.
What happens to wegrownepal.com links?
