A good computer opponent should feel like a friend at the table, not a dice machine that always wins. In Ludo Fighters: Battle Board that opponent is Lumi AI, the same name players know from our other games. It fills any empty seat, rolls its own dice and fights for real. Here is how it thinks, with nothing dressed up.
No hidden bonuses, no loaded dice
Lumi AI rolls the same random dice as you and never knows what the next roll will be. It only chooses which soldier to move once its roll is in. Every personality plays the same rules and sees the same board. What differs is what each one values.
Five personalities, Rookie to Commander

| Personality | How it plays | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Rookie | Plays any legal move at random 45% of the time. Otherwise it picks a sensible move, but it barely fears being shot. | New players |
| Aggressor | A capture is worth almost twice as much to it as to the others, and it likes leaving your soldiers in its sights. It takes risks to get there. | Fast, fight-heavy games |
| Guardian | Fears being hit twice as much as Strategist, loves shield bunkers and runs from danger. The starting choice. | A fair, careful opponent |
| Strategist | Weighs the whole board after each move: progress, captures, getting home and the real odds of each soldier being hit. Its weights were tuned over thousands of test games. | Players who know the board |
| Commander | Strategist’s judgement plus a look ahead: for each move it plays out the next squad’s best reply to all six rolls. | When you want to lose and learn |
You choose the personality in Custom match, and it applies to every Lumi AI seat. Play vs Lumi AI uses the one you saved last.
How Lumi AI scores a move
For every legal move, Lumi AI pictures the board after it and gives that board a score. The best score wins. Each personality uses its own weights. These are Strategist’s, straight from the game:

| What it counts | Weight | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Capture | × 21.19 | Bonus for knocking an enemy out with this move |
| Threaten | × 1.42 | Bonus for every enemy left 1 to 6 squares ahead of its soldiers |
| Fear of being hit | × 0.8 | How much it dislikes the real odds of being shot before its next turn |
| Shield bunkers | × 4 | Bonus for standing on a safe square |
| Getting home | × 32 | Bonus for each soldier in headquarters |
Every personality also counts how far each of its soldiers has marched, gives a bonus for each soldier out of base, and subtracts how far the enemy squads have marched.
The danger scan
Before landing on open ground, Lumi AI looks at the enemy soldiers 1 to 6 squares behind that square and works out the real chance that one of them rolls the exact number before its next turn. Each enemy squad in range adds to the odds, and the further its own soldier has marched, the more a hit would cost. Safe stars, start squares and home lanes skip the check, because nobody can be shot there. A soldier 4 squares behind is a 1 in 6 chance. Guardian hates that most; Rookie and Aggressor shrug it off.
Six ways to beat Lumi AI
- Stay off its open squares. Lumi AI nearly always takes a capture it can reach. If a soldier must stop within 6 squares in front of a Lumi AI soldier, make it a star.
- Expect it to hunt your leader. A soldier who has marched far is worth more to knock out. Get your front runner to a star or into the home lane first.
- Punish the brave ones. Rookie and Aggressor barely fear being shot. Keep a soldier a few squares behind their runners and wait for the roll.
- Read its sixes. With a 6 and soldiers still in base, it likes deploying. Its start square is safe, so plan to catch that soldier once it steps off.
- Make it choose. Only Commander looks ahead, and only one turn. Set up two threats at once and it can only answer the roll it has.
- Climb the ladder. Start against Rookie. Once you win there most of the time, move to Guardian, then Strategist, then Commander.
Humans and Lumi AI at one table
In Custom match every colour can be a person, Lumi AI or off, from 2 to 6 seats. Play solo against three Lumi AI squads, pass the phone between two friends while Lumi AI fills the other seats, or turn colours off for a head-to-head duel. In Online squads, Lumi AI fills empty seats after about 15 seconds so nobody waits for long. See every mode.
