Ludo is a different game at every table. Some tables need a 6 to leave base, some do not; some play to the first soldier home, others until everyone is in. Ludo Fighters: Battle Board is built around that. Here is every way to play it, and every rule you can change.

Play vs Lumi AI

The big brass button on the home screen. One tap and you are on the board as Red, with Green, Yellow and Blue played by Lumi AI. There is no setup screen: it uses the battlefield, Lumi AI personality and house rules you saved last time. The board turns so your base sits in the bottom-left corner, facing you, the way you would sit at a real table.

Custom match

One scrolling screen, top to bottom, and your choices are saved for next time:

  1. Players: tap a colour to add or remove it, 2 to 6 squads with 1 to 6 soldiers each. Set each to a person or Lumi AI and give it a name of up to 12 letters.
  2. Lumi AI personality: Rookie, Aggressor, Guardian, Strategist or Commander. What each one does.
  3. Dice: one die, or two dice for two moves a turn.
  4. Battlefield: Jungle, Desert, Snowfield or Night Ops. The look changes; the rules do not.
  5. House rules: seven switches plus the win rule (below).
  6. Table: hot-seat flips the far seats for face-to-face play.

Then tap Deploy squads.

Pass & play

Lay the phone flat on the table and take turns. Pass & play opens with two people seated on opposite corners, Player 1 as Red and Player 2 as Yellow. Add Green, Blue, Purple and Orange for up to six people, or seat Lumi AI there to fill the table. The seats along the far edge turn upside down, so the player opposite reads the dice the right way up, and only the current player’s side lights up. More on playing Ludo offline.

Online squads

Players on different phones drop into one match. Quick battle seats 2, 4 or 6 players, and Lumi AI fills empty seats after about 15 seconds. Private rooms use a 6-letter code you share with friends. You play as a guest with a callsign, talk with fixed callouts (there is no typed chat), and can report or block anyone who spoils the game. How online play is kept safe.

Two boards: four houses and six

The four-house Ludo Fighters board on the Jungle battlefield and the six-house board on the Desert battlefield

Every mode seats 2 to 6 squads: Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, Purple and Orange. Five or six squads play on the six-house board, in any mix of people and Lumi AI. The four-house board stays for smaller games. Fewer soldiers per squad makes for a shorter game; six each makes a long campaign.
