An IPO on Meroshare is where many Nepali investors take their first real step, and where the confusion starts: which issues are open, who is eligible, how many units to apply for, and where to check the result. This guide walks through it, and shows how StockYatra’s free IPO tracker keeps the details in one place.

What you need, once

  • A Demat account, opened through a depository participant (a bank or broker).
  • A Meroshare account linked to that Demat.
  • A bank account with ASBA enabled, and your CRN (customer reference number) from that bank.
  • Your Meroshare PIN and transaction PIN.
  • Enough balance for the units. The amount is blocked, not taken, until allotment.

Apply on Meroshare in four steps

Four steps: check the issue, open Meroshare, fill and submit under My ASBA, check the result
From tracker to application.
  1. Check the issue. Confirm it is open, that you are eligible, the price per unit and the minimum units.
  2. Open Meroshare during the open window and go to My ASBA. The issue is under current applications.
  3. Choose the company, select your ASBA bank and account, enter the units (usually at least 10) and your CRN, accept the declaration, enter your transaction PIN and submit.
  4. After the allotment date, check the result in Meroshare or at iporesult.cdsc.com.np. If allotted, the shares appear in your Demat and can be sold after listing.

Mistakes that get applications rejected

MistakeHow to avoid it
Applying after the closeWatch the countdown and any extended close date
Wrong CRN or low balanceDouble-check the CRN and keep the full amount in the ASBA account
Wrong quotaOnly apply under locals or foreign-employment quotas if you qualify
Sharing your PIN or OTPNo real helper needs it; “we will apply for you” is a red flag
Paying for “guaranteed allotment”Allotment follows the official process, often a lottery when oversubscribed

The StockYatra IPO tracker

Open IPO Calendar from the StockYatra menu (it is also on stockyatra.com and the web trade terminal). It covers IPOs, FPOs, right shares, debentures, mutual funds and auctions. Each issue card shows:

  • Company, symbol, sector and the credit rating where one is published.
  • Units on offer, price per unit, minimum and maximum units.
  • Eligibility: general public, project-affected locals, Nepalis in foreign employment, staff, or existing shareholders for right shares.
  • Issue manager and dates: opening, closing, extension, allotment, listing.
  • Prospectus link, highlights and a short summary.

Statuses move from upcoming → open → closing soon → closed → allotment → listed, worked out from the dates, with a live countdown while an issue is open. Open issues come first. The team maintains the catalogue by hand from public information; it already holds 97 past issues as of 29 September 2026.

Accuracy note: always confirm dates, eligibility and units on Meroshare and the official notice before you apply. Nothing in the tracker is a recommendation to apply for, buy or sell any security.
