Ask a room of Nepali traders which foreign market they follow and most will say India. The names are familiar, the news is in reach, and the NSE’s Nifty 50 is quoted on every business channel. Trading it for real from Nepal is another matter. Practising it, as of 2026, is not: StockYatra’s India board carries 30 NSE large caps priced in ₹, and you trade them with the same virtual coins you already use on NEPSE.
What is on the India board
Thirty NSE large caps — RELIANCE, TCS, HDFCBANK, INFY, ICICIBANK and 25 more — each with a live-simulated chart, an overview and FAQs, and sector browsing on the India board itself. Prices are anchored to the real ₹ price levels and tick through the day on StockYatra’s engine, so they move like the real market; they are not an official NSE feed. The board covers NSE only today; BSE is not on it.
NEPSE and NSE, side by side

| Nepal · NEPSE | India · NSE (on StockYatra) | |
|---|---|---|
| Trading days | Sunday to Thursday | Monday to Friday |
| Session | 11:00–15:00 NPT | 09:15–15:30 IST (09:30–15:45 NPT) |
| Stocks on the board | 31 | 30 large caps |
| Priced in | Rs. | ₹, converted to coins |
| Typical names | Banks, hydropower, microfinance, insurance | IT, banks, energy, autos, consumer |
| Days both are open | Monday to Thursday | Friday: India only · Sunday: Nepal only |
The overlap is the useful part. On a Monday you can watch a Nepali bank and an Indian bank react to the same regional news in the same hour, with the same order ticket and the same stop-loss rules. On Friday, when NEPSE is closed, the India board keeps your practice streak alive.
What to practise on the India board
- Sizing across a price scale. A ₹1,400 share is not “more expensive” than a Rs. 480 share in any way that matters; what matters is coins at risk. Use the free position-size calculator and stop thinking in share counts.
- Trading with volume. Large caps fill and move smoothly. Notice how a stop placed at a sensible chart level behaves here compared with a thin NEPSE scrip — that difference is liquidity, and you should know what it feels like before it costs money anywhere.
- Sector reading. India’s board has sectors NEPSE barely has — IT services, autos, consumer goods. Practising them widens your chart vocabulary without any risk.
- Five-day weeks. Build a Monday-to-Friday review habit here and carry it back to NEPSE’s Sunday-to-Thursday week. The 30-day plan shows how to schedule it.
If you want to go further afield, the US board runs in Nepal’s evening; the three-markets guide explains how all three share one wallet. There is no premium tier, no subscription and no feature behind real money. Trading never costs a coin; coins can be earned by trading well, finishing courses, referring friends and winning the daily call; an optional top-up (Rs.100 = 1,000 coins) exists on the web but is never required.

Frequently asked questions
Can I practise Indian stocks from Nepal on StockYatra?
Yes. The India board carries 30 NSE large caps priced in ₹. You trade them with your virtual coins — the ₹ price converts at a practice exchange rate — so there is no Indian account, broker or real money involved.
Which Indian stocks are on the board?
30 NSE large caps, including RELIANCE, TCS, HDFCBANK, INFY and ICICIBANK. StockYatra currently covers NSE; BSE is not on the board today.
When is the India board open?
Monday to Friday, 09:15–15:30 India time, which is 09:30–15:45 in Nepal — so it overlaps NEPSE’s 11:00–15:00 session on Monday to Thursday and runs alone on Friday.
Are the prices real NSE prices?
They are live-simulated for practice and anchored to each company’s real price level, so the board moves like the real market. It is not an official NSE feed and must not be used for real-money decisions.
Is NSE trading on StockYatra different from NEPSE?
The mechanics are identical — long and short, leverage, automatic stop-loss and take-profit, live P&L. What differs is the market: five trading days, deeper volume, a different sector mix and a ₹ price scale that converts to coins.
Does it cost anything?
No. The India board is open to every account, trading never charges a coin, and there is no premium tier.
