Most people who start learning to trade stop within a week. Not because it is too hard, but because nothing brings them back tomorrow. StockYatra’s game layer exists to fix that, with three parts: a daily Bull-or-Bear call, an activity streak and weekly leagues.
The daily Bull-or-Bear call
Each day StockYatra picks three stocks from its simulated Nepal board. Before 11:00 Nepal time you make two calls:
- Bull or Bear: will the board as a whole be up or down by 15:00?
- Best pick (optional): which of the three will rise the most?
At 11:00 calls lock and starting prices are saved. At 15:00 the result is worked out from the average move of all stocks on the simulated Nepal board. A right direction earns 200 coins and 30 league points; a right pick earns 300 coins and 40 league points.
Weekly leagues: Fox, Bull, Cheetah, Tiger, Lion
A league week starts every Sunday at 00:00 Nepal time. When you are active, you join a group of up to 30 traders in your current league. Everyone starts in Fox. At the end of the week:
- About the top sixth of the group (up to five traders) move up a league, as long as they earned some points.
- About the bottom sixth (up to five) move down. Nobody drops below Fox.
- The top three win 3,000, 2,000 and 1,000 coins.
Your league shows on the Leaderboard tab (Weekly League is the default view) and on the Home screen’s Today hub.
Not to be confused with the percentile trader rank on your profile, from Fox Trader to Lion Trader (StockYatra’s trader leagues). That one ranks you against every trader; weekly leagues reset every week.
How league points are earned

Notice the design: a lesson is worth more than a winning trade. You climb by learning and showing up, not by taking big risks.
Streaks and streak freezes
Your streak counts the days in a row you did something useful: a practice trade, a lesson or the daily call. If you have not been active by 20:00 Nepal time, you get a gentle reminder. A streak freeze costs 1,000 coins, you can hold two, and each bridges one missed day. Keep them for exams, festivals and travel.
A ten-minute daily routine
- Make the call before 11:00.
- Watch one video in the Watch feed (Learn the stock market in Nepali, free).
- Finish one lesson.
- Place or review one practice trade, with a stop-loss.
